5 Group Levels to find the perfect fit for you!
Level 1- First Tracks
This is my first time on skis! Learn to walk, slide, stop and turn on easy slopes. Learn basic control of speed through turning. Learn to use ski lifts. Build confidence skiing green pistes and developing skills for blues.Starting in the Parallel Lines beginners area with our own moving carpet ski lift, the best environment to learn safely is guaranteed.
Level 2- First Turns
I have tried skiing before, maybe taken a lesson or two on a dry or indoor slope. I can snowplough turn and stop but don’t yet feel confident skiing green slopes.Goals are to ski in control on green, and later, some blue slopes. Build confidence snowplough turning and move towards making my skis parallel by the end of my turns.
Level 3 – Progress to Parallel
I can ski in control down most green slopes. My skis are sometimes in a snowplough but sometimes parallel. I may have skied around a week, although I could have skied longer.Goals are to build control from green to blue slopes. To move from predominately snowplough turning to parallel skiing.
Level 4 – Polish your Parallels
I generally ski parallel. I am comfortable on blue slopes and may have skied a few reds. I am likely to have skied at least 2 weeks and may have skied many more but maybe feel I have reached a plateau. To develop parallel skiing to cope with steeper groomed slopes, from blues to reds.
Level 5 – Parallel and Beyond
I am a parallel skier, I can pole plant and make rhythmic turns down red slopes and even black slopes when conditions are good. I ski pretty quickly and can confidently get around the mountain. Goals are to ski confidently and competently on steeper groomed slopes including black slopes and perhaps some off-piste terrain.
