Becoming a ski instructor with Parallel Lines is a long process involving seasons of training, testing, racing and teaching.

It is possible though to get on the ladder by gaining a ski instructor qualification allowing you to work in snow domes, dry slopes and in the Scottish Mountains. These qualifications are administered by the UK snow sports governing bodies and we offer courses through Snowsport Scotland.*

We are offering the Snowsport Scotland Ski Instructor course in 2 formats.

6 Day Course

Remit: To instruct novice and intermediate skiers or snowboarders in confined environments within the UK as directed by an employer or Authorising Body.

Course duration: 6 days

Pre-course requirements: 16 years old, able to perform confident parallel / gripped turns and basic short turns on blue / easy red runs.

Post course requirements: 30 hours instructing assistance within a snowsports school or club working within the remit of the qualification.

January 2019 – March 2019

16 x 3hr training sessions (2 sessions per week)
