Choose the Right Level for Your Child

We tailor lessons to suit each child’s age, experience, and ability:

Level 1 Mini

Mini Green (for 4 and 5 year olds)

The ideal lesson for 4 or 5-year-old beginner skiers or skiers who have tried a little before in kindergartens or ski creches. Starting in the beginner area with moving carpet lift, we introduce skiing in a fun, relaxed way. We aim to be be skiing by ourselves on easy runs as the week progresses.

Level 1

Level 1 – Green Safari

Ideal lesson for beginner skiers aged 6 and above. It’s fun from day one. Making full use of a Beginner Area with moving carpet lift, we introduce snowplough, first turns and speed control! Move from nursery slopes to green runs, building confidence and learning to ski safely, the perfect introduction!

Level 2

Green Blue Safari

For young skiers who can snowplough turn and stop on easy runs such as green slopes. They may have a 2* Badge or equivalent experience. Often skiers who have completed a Mini level week, or maybe had some lessons but still rely on snowplough to turn and stop.

Level 3

Blue Safari

I have a minimum of a 3* Badge or at least a weeks experience. I can ski a green run comfortably. My turns are a mix of snowplough with some parallel, I may have skied some blues as well. The first day I may not remember everything from my last trip but we will be skiing around the green runs to build up confidence. I can follow a leader and I would like to explore more of the mountain.

Level 4

Blue Red Safari

I have a minimum of a 4* Badge or at least 2 weeks experience. What can I do: I’m almost a parallel skier. I feel more secure on my skis and rely on a snowplough much less. My skis naturally come closer together and I ski more smoothly and rhythmically. I can ski down blue slopes comfortably and I stop by turning my skis parallel rather than using a snowplough.

Level 5

Red Safari

I have a minimum of a 5 * Badge or a minimum of 4 weeks skiing. What can I do: Now Blues are easy and Reds are fun! I ski parallel but more zig zag than round turns. I ski pretty quickly and can control my speed on steeper runs. I am ready for new techniques for different terrain, sometimes on the snow and sometimes in the air!

Level 5

Teen Safari (Ages 12-16)

I have a minimum of a 5 * Badge or a minimum of 4 weeks skiing. What can I do: Now Blues are easy and Reds are fun! I ski parallel but more zig zag than round turns. I ski pretty quickly and can control my speed on steeper runs. I am ready for new techniques for different terrain, sometimes on the snow and sometimes in the air! I am 12+ years old and prefer to ski with older children.

Level 6

All Mountain Safari

I have a minimum of a 6* Badge or a minimum of 6 weeks skiing. What can I do: I can ski everywhere – reds and beyond! I can make smooth controlled turns on all red runs and I can use a pole plant to help me turn. I have skied lots but I may need more control on steep slopes, bumps and improving my carving.

Level 7

All Mountain Expert

I have a minimum of a 7* Badge or a minimum of 8 weeks skiing. What can I do: I have done loads of ski school! I can make short rhythmical turns on black runs and fast carved turns with no skidding on easier terrain. I want to ski the most challenging slopes, learn some freestyle, ski fast and in control on any slope, in any condition.
