Phil first learned to ski at the age of 3. He taught his first ski season in Scotland when he was just 16 years old. He worked for a large tour operator for 4 years as a ski technician and ran his own chalet company for 4 years which also involved guiding people around the 3 valleys. Once fully qualified he taught in 2000 in Meribel. He is one of the founding members of Parallel Lines. Phil runs Parallel Lines during the inter-season,.

Ed is one of the founding members of Parallel Lines and no-one knows the area better. If it has had snow on Ed has probably skied it!

John learned to ski in Scotland with a local ski club and has been a ski instructor since 1991. He has worked in Scotland, Italy, the USA, and France. John has been a BASI Trainer since 1999 as well as a Snowboard instructor, having trained in Mammoth, California.

Angus has taught skiing for 25 years and been an international ski teacher since 1990. He was a trainer for BASI for 8 years, training and assessing to the highest level. He learned his trade in the Scottish ski centres before moving to Europe where he has worked in many different ski areas. Since 2003 he has been based in Meribel with Parallel Lines.

Del has been with Parallel Lines since the beginning. He is a great teacher and skier and can fix all the computers as well!

Neil rejoined Parallel Lines last season, having run another ski school for a few seasons. Neil brings a real knowledge of the mountains to each of his lessons as he is an experienced climber and alpinist.

Gregor learned to ski when he was 2 years and 2 months old in Murren, Switzerland. He moved on to ski racing when he was 5. During his first race he followed his mum down the race course, unfortunately when she pulled to the side at the finish he followed and didn’t cross the line and was disqualified. Luckily he has got the hang of it since then.His last race was passing his European Speed test on the first run. Go Gregor!!
Gregor started teaching when he was 16. He has worked seasons in Zermatt, Verbier, Courchevel, Val D’Isere, Les Gets and Meribel, where he joined the Parallel Lines Team in Winter 2007/08.

Ed is a British Masters (age group) Ski Champion in Slalom and Giant Slalom. He is also a former BASI Ski Instructor Trainer.As well as teaching skiing, Ed also runs his other successful businesses making ski wax (Datawax) and slalom poles (Ski Data). Ed joined the Parallel Lines team in Winter 2007/08.

Gary (the) Bruce is one of Meribel’s top instructors and we are delighted he is joining us this season. Previously with the French Ski School for many winters Gary brings a great reputation with him.

Snowboarding or skiing Nick is equally at home on both. Nick spent many winters in Colorado teaching the stars but has now established himself as one of our top instructors.

James has been teaching skiing and snowboarding in The Three Valleys for years. He has mainly been based in Courchevel, where he has built a great reputation as a teacher and someone who knows how to provide excellent service. We are delighted he has joined us this season.

Dan has lived in Meribel for many seasons but this will be his first full winter teaching here. Dan spends his summer in New Zealand teaching skiing and racing.
Emily is in control of all bookings taken in the UK. She has an intimate knowledge of how the ski school operates and can guide your enquiries safely to the best solutions
Gina handles our pre-bookings from November until April. Her knowledge and experience help to make arranging your lessons easy.
We are delighted Erica has joined us this year as our “in resort” manager. Erica will be in contact with you when you arrive in resort to ensure everyone knows where and when your courses start. Erica will be based in The North Face Shop after skiing each day as a point of contact. Erica lives in Meribel and has worked with Tour Operators and bars and restaurants in previous years.
